Best DMARC monitoring tools compared
DMARC reporting tools turn aggregate XML reports into readable dashboards and help you reach p=reject. Here is how the main options differ.

What a DMARC tool should do
- Receive and parse rua aggregate reports, grouped by sending source.
- Identify known services (Google, Microsoft, SendGrid and so on) and show which fail alignment.
- Guide you from p=none to p=reject, and alert on new failing sources.
- Optionally host SPF (to stay under 10 lookups), DKIM or BIMI records.
The options
| Tool | Best for | Notable |
|---|---|---|
| EasyDMARC | SMBs and MSPs | Report dashboards, hosted SPF/DMARC/BIMI, MSP multi-tenant; free tier available |
| Valimail (DigiCert) | Enterprises, and Microsoft 365 users wanting a free start | Automated sender identification and hosted DMARC; acquired by DigiCert in 2025 |
| Red Sift OnDMARC | Mid-market and enterprise | Guided enforcement, hosted records, part of a wider brand-protection suite |
| dmarcian | Teams wanting education plus tooling | One of the longest-running DMARC services, strong documentation and deployment guidance |
| PowerDMARC | MSPs and resellers | White-label platform with hosted SPF, MTA-STS and TLS-RPT |
| Postmark DMARC Digests | Very small domains | Free weekly digest emails of DMARC reports; simple, few features |
How to choose
- Few senders, low volume: a free tier or weekly digest is enough to reach enforcement.
- Many services or many domains: pick a tool with automatic source identification and hosted SPF.
- Agencies and MSPs: look for multi-tenant and white-label features.
- Enterprise: look for SSO, role-based access, and support for BIMI and certificates.
Whatever you choose, keep checking the records themselves: report tools show what happened yesterday, while a DNS change can break things today. EmailMonitor's free daily monitoring watches the records.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a paid DMARC tool?
Not always. Small domains with a few senders can reach p=reject with a free tier or by reading reports carefully. Paid tools save time with many senders or domains.
Can I read DMARC reports without a tool?
Yes. They are gzip or zip files containing XML, but raw reports are tedious to read at any volume.
